Executive Sous Chef Jobs
An Executive Sous Chef is the second-in-command in a professional kitchen, directly assisting the Executive Chef in various culinary tasks such as menu development, food preparation, kitchen staff supervision, and ensuring high-quality food production and presentation. They are also responsible for monitoring food safety and sanitation regulations, managing the kitchen budget, and overseeing inventory. Executive Sous Chefs also step in as the primary chef in the absence of the Executive Chef, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
Key skills for an Executive Sous Chef include culinary expertise, leadership, creativity, problem-solving, and knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques. They should also possess excellent communication and time management skills. Familiarity with relevant software for inventory and order management is often required.
