Job Description

IRON HORSE, located in scenic Kanab, Utah, seeks an exceptional Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to bring their talent to our team.

In addition to working on and directing the line, this person will also oversee and supervise food preparations, maintain quality control, proper food handling and storage, inventory oversight and ordering, and creation of healthy and creative dishes. Designing the menu to highlight the farm produce and bison and other local vendors is important. 

 To be considered for this opportunity, you must have experience in the following areas:

Proven work history with references

Be able to follow directions and branding guidelines set forth by Iron Horse ownership

Servsafe training desirable

Be able to read recipes and understand measurements and portion controls

Be self motivated and able to accomplish all work necessary

Be able to work days, nights, and holidays as needed

Housing is a part of the compensation. The ranch maintains high standards in its staff to compliment the expectations of the high-end guests that stay here. Drug use and alcohol abuse are not tolerated. Staff with an interest in exploring and enjoying all that Southern Utah has to offer enjoy the beautiful, rural setting.

We're looking for the right leader to run our kitchen efficiently on a day-to-day basis with a passion for creative uses of farm produce, and a strong desire to please our  guests.
