The Montecito Santa Fe, a luxurious 13 acre resort style retirement community is expanding and is seeking an experienced Sous Chef. Our community continues to thrive during these times as we practice very safe standards, as we continue to feed all our residents. Once we are able to fully reopen we will return to a full service busy dining room and restaurant (Garbo's) and Wine Bar (Starlight) in a private clubhouse, that also does private parties and catering events. We are looking for a strong Sous Chef to work with our Executive Chef as part of our culinary management team.
Candidate should have minimum of 3 years Sous Chef or strong Line Cook experience, be able to work evenings and weekends, be comfortable working on the line, and pass background check and E-Verify. Bi-lingual and a degree in Culinary Arts is a plus but not mandatory as we value experience too! Knowledge of menu planning, ordering, staff supervision and food preparations is required.
This is an Exempt Manager position that includes Holiday Pay, earned Paid Time Off, affordable health/vision/dental insurance, no late nights (we close at 8:00pm) and a professional kitchen with a great staff. Once you are chosen we will send you for a COVID 19 test before you will be able to start. We continue to do COVID 19 testing regularly on site through the Department of Health so that our staff and residents remain confident that we are safe, which we have been throughout the pandemic.
