Feather and Wedge, a happening restaurant and bar, in downtown Rockport, MA is seeking a sous chef and line/prep cooks.
Rockport is a small, historic seaside community with a fabulous musical performance venue. The town attracts a multitude of international and local tourists.
The restaurant and bar, which together seat 50, features a small, seasonal, locally-sourced menu of freshly prepared food, a good wine and beer list, and cocktails.
The owners are looking for motivated and dedicated team players to help build this business.
Full, Part time, and internship opportunities are available. Successful candidates will have a passion for preparation, cooking, and plating of flavorful fresh food and be able to work efficiently alongside other members of the kitchen team. Openings are available at a variety of experience levels. Previous restaurant kitchen experience and expediting skills are a plus.
Collaboratively cook in a high volume, dynamic environment
Ensure proper handling of food, including washing, mixing, rinsing, portioning, etc.
Understand all kitchen safety procedures
Prevent food wastage
