Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cook Supervisor to join our team at Kent Corrections Facility. The Cook Supervisor is responsible for supervising kitchen staff, ensuring the food service is carried out appropriately and in a timely fashion. This individual will instruct and train employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation, ensuring that meal service begins on time and meets Summit’s quality standards preparing, cooking, and arranging food in accordance to Summit's guidelines as well as loading and transporting the product from one location to another in a safe and timely manner.

  • Work with a diverse work population


  • Food service industry experience preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Food preparation experience including: Measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling
  • Using and cleaning equipment and materials for food preparation and cleanup
  • Ability to follow direction regarding food preparation, storage and safety

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, based on the business needs of your location
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Physical Requirements:

Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs
