Job Summary

Prepare food items and serve patrons in strict compliance with federal, state, local, and company standards and regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Receive and follow a daily production schedule from the Chef.

Prepare food items according to specified quantities and recipes, strictly adhering to production sheets and recipes.

Complete daily production worksheets and waste logs accurately. Taste all prepared food for quality assurance.

Operate, sanitize, and maintain kitchen equipment according to department protocols.

Store, label, and date all food items in strict compliance with HACCP guidelines.

Ensure full adherence to health, sanitation, and safety regulations as outlined by law and department practices.

Serve orders promptly and courteously from steam tables, grill stations, or other assigned areas; resolve customer concerns professionally.

Utilize approved recipes and maintain standard portion control, serving temperatures, and quality standards.

Carry out additional tasks as assigned, consistent with CulinArts policies and standards.

Qualifications & Attributes

Proven kitchen or food service experience; independent schools experience is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to follow recipes and production guidelines precisely.

Strong commitment to food safety, sanitation, and HACCP compliance.

Excellent time management, attention to detail, and consistency under pressure.

Professional, customer-focused demeanor with the ability to address and resolve concerns calmly.

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift kitchenware and food containers as needed (typically 2550 lbs).

Basic math skills (for portioning, measuring).
