Job Description

Montaluce Winery and Restaurant rests in the North Georgia mountains. With over 400 acres, nearly fifteen years' worth of history, and two restaurants, our primary objective is to provide an experience with stunning views, fantastic wine, and of course delicious food. We are looking for an Executive Chef that embodies service, integrity, and passion. Pay based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
  • Oversee the creation and modifications of various menus.
  • Estimate food requirements and do food purchases based on these requirements
  • Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
  • Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and manage kitchen staff
  • Rectify arising problems or complaints
  • Give prepared plates the “final touch”
  • Perform administrative duties for kitchen
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
  • Provide food for various catering events such as weddings

Skills

  • Proven working experience as a head chef
  • Excellent record of kitchen management
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
  • Capable of delegating multiple tasks
  • Communication and leadership skills
  • Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
  • BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate
