Position Description: Line Cook
Assisting the Food and Beverage director, Executive Chef, and Sous Chef in the overall success of Kitchen, the Lead Line is tasked with upholding and enforcing the Kitchen specifications and guidelines. The Line Cook also assists with food preparation, maintaining and enforcing quality standards, sanitation, and cleanliness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene and health standards. Observes proper food preparation and handling techniques.
Store food properly and safely; Mark the date and item; Practice first in/out
Completes food temperature checks and standards
Keeps work area neat and clean at all times
Uses proper tools for the tasks at hand
Follows procedures to avoid cross contamination
Cleans and maintains equipment used in food preparation
s necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor
Prepares food served using established recipes, production procedures, and systems
Check in and receive deliveries as needed; Ensure accuracy
Correctly prepares all food served following standard recipes and plating design
Ensures availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation
Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food are preserved
Accurately portions food for serving
Maintains daily production records
Uses proper PPE per task in accordance to written kitchen systems in place

Skills and Experience
Acquire Food Handlers card prior to your start date/onboarding.

Willingness to regularly work during mornings, evenings and weekends.
Job Requirements
Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
Able to stoop, crawl, twist, turn, lift, kneel, climb ladders and stairs
Able to regularly lift/carry 50 pounds
Able to work in indoor and outdoor environment with sometimes slippery floors
Able to work in varying degrees of temperatures that is typical for a retail food industry
Floor surface may vary from hard tiled floor or concrete to carpet or grass
Ability to tolerate a high-level work pace that is typical for a retail food industry
The noise level in the work environment can be loud
Able to work 8-10 hours on your feet
