Seasonal Floating Portland restaurant establishment focusing on American Grill cuisine seeks line cook to get us through the end of the season. Successful candidate must have strong work ethic and able to take direction. We will train, so experience is not mandatory. Looking for candidates with good attitudes who fit into our family environment.
Daily responsibilities include:
Responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the pantry, on the line or in other areas of the kitchen
- Set up station according to restaurant guidelines
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
- Restock all items as needed throughout shift
- Clean and maintain station-practicing good safety, sanitation and organizational skills
- Properly use and maintain all equipment in station
- Assist with the cleaning, sanitation and organization of kitchen, walk in coolers and all storage areas
- This position does require standing for long periods of time
- Successful candidate will have good communication skills, ability to work shifts as needed, ability to take direction, possess good problem solving skills, be well organized, be reliable and punctual in attendance, and able to work well under pressure in a calm manner.
Interview requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and transport loads of up to 35 pounds regularly
- Must have a valid food handlers card upon hire
HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE
- Full-Time and Part-Time Shifts available
- Establishment is open 7 days a week. Must have flexible schedule
- Schedule to be determined
