Main Responsibilities
- Lead daytoday operations of the Seafood/Butcher Block department to deliver superior customer service and sales performance
- Supervise, train, schedule, and assign work to seafood clerks to ensure optimal staffing and productivity
- Ensure compliance with merchandising programs, COOL requirements, markdown policies, and company standards
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering product, receiving shipments, quality checks, and daily inventory counts
- Prepare seafood products by cleaning, cutting, weighing, wrapping, labeling, and displaying items for sale
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints related to the seafood department
- Monitor food safety standards, including temperature logs, tare checks, and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe department in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Operate and oversee use of department equipment, including electronic scanning scales
