Looking for an experienced breakfast/lunch cook to join our team as Line Cook

Position Overview:

Busy local Bakery and Cafe in close-in NE Portland has been a popular breakfast and lunch spot for 20 years. We are a favorite spot in the heart of Hollywood and are open 7:30am to 2:30pm. Closed Mondays. We are looking for an experienced breakfast/lunch cook to join our team as lead cook. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious breakfast and lunch dishes topliment and showcase fresh baked bread and pastries, a strong work ethic, and amitment to delivering exceptional food. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast and lunch items while maintaining a clean, efficient, andanized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch dishes according to menu specifications.

Ensure food is cooked to the highest quality and presentation standards.

Maintain cleanliness andanization of the kitchen and workstations.

Monitor food inventory and stock levels.

Work quickly and efficiently to prepare the kitchen and service the cafe, especially during busy hours.

Follow safety and sanitation guidelines in accordance with food safety regulations.

Assist in training and mentoring other kitchen staff as needed.

Qualifications/requirements:

Minimum 1 year of experience in a breakfast and lunch primary cook role.

Demonstrated ability to lead kitchen staff when necessary.

Strong knowledge of breakfast cooking techniques.

Able to arrive at 7:00am and work weekends.

Thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.

Excellentmunication and team collaboration skills.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a great team environment.
