Gufo is hiring a Sous Chef to add to their team.

At Gufo (owl in Italian), our modern Italian menu centers around housemade pasta, pizza, and comforting-yet-inventive shared plates. We offer dinner seven nights a week, weekday lunch and brunch on the weekends. Our beverage program features craft cocktails, a curated selection of local beers, and a wine list focused on Italian grape varietals grown all over the globe.

Our goal is to create a sense of community through delicious food, thoughtful drinks, and genuine neighborly hospitality. We believe in getting back to the basics: great food in a comfortable space, served by a warm and welcoming team. Were looking for a skilled Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership team. This role is hands-onleading service, mentoring staff, and maintaining the highest standards for food, cleanliness, and hospitality. Youll work closely with the Executive Chef to manage daily operations, execute service with excellence, and foster a positive, high-performance kitchen culture.

What Youll Do

  • Help Manage the day to day kitchen operations of Gufo
  • Lead the kitchen during prep and service, ensuring pace, quality, and consistency
  • Train, mentor, and support kitchen staff
  • Uphold food quality, cleanliness, and organization standards
  • Assist with ordering, inventory, and menu development
