Stable and growing restaurant group with locations in New York and South Orange, NJ is continuing to expand with our brand-new concept, Medusa Greek Street Food! We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef with a strong background in Greek cuisine to join our team.

About the Role
The Sous Chef will work on menu development and specials while overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, creativity, and the ability to maintain company standards while motivating and managing a team of 10+ employees.

Responsibilities
Work the line and lead by example in a fast-paced environment
Train, coach, and develop kitchen staff
Collaborate with Operations Manager on menu items and specials
Manage walk-ins, kitchen stations, and overall organization
Handle inventory, ordering, and cost control
Ensure compliance with all health department regulations
Create schedules, manage labor costs, and delegate effectively
Communicate consistently with management to achieve company goals

Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of kitchen management experience
Knowledge of Greek cuisine strongly preferred
Proven experience in ordering, cost management, and staff training
Strong leadership and delegation skills
Scheduling and labor management experience
ServSafe Manager Certification required
Bilingual in Greek and/or Spanish a strong plus

Compensation & Benefits
$65,000 annual salary
