Our growing cafe is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team. We are focused on serving food crafted from locally sourced partners and seasonal fresh ingredients. We are looking for candidates who value cleanliness, have a sense of urgency, a passion for food and possess a keen attention to detail. Our staff is a tight-knit crew and we work very closely together.
Estimated shifts roughly 30 hrs./wk. mornings/early afternoons
Weekdays/Weekends, ideally Sunday through Wednesday
Two days shift lead $26 - two days line $24 with an average of $28-30+ hourly with tips

Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to a work environment that values positivity, mutual respect, integrity, andpassion
Lead and manage the kitchen team during your scheduled shifts, providing guidance, direction and support to line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
Ensure all kitchen staff are properly trained and follow recipes, portion controls, and food safety standards
Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to coordinate ticket times and special requests
Able to maintain a clean workspace and work efficiently in a busy brunch/cafe environment
Act as a role model for staff by exhibiting a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and keeping our standard of quality high
Handle and issues that arise in the kitchen, including equipment malfunction, ingredient shortages, staffing challenges, or issues with deliveries
Monitor and maintain inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure proper stock levels
Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and sanitized, adhering to local health and safety regulations, and all deep cleaning tasks arepleted each day they are assigned
Qualifications:
Demonstrates a positive attitude, willingness to learn and teach, and a love for breakfast food
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5+ years experience in high-volume restaurants, and 3+ years in a leadership role, strong knife andmunication skills, and a proven ability to manage their own time
Strong demonstrated knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen operations
Operates with a collaborative mindset. Everyone is wee to bring new ideas to the table
Up to date Oregon Food Handlers certificate and ServSafe (or willingness to get certified)
Breakfast/Lunch experience preferred

We are a family-owned cafe open in the heart of downtown Oregon City. Why did we name the Cafe & Bistro the Watershed?
Oregon City sits at one of the most historic watersheds in the Pacific NW, directly alongside Willamette Falls, originally known as Tumwata Falls by the indigenous tribes who call this area their homeland. The watershed sustained life for the entire Willamette Valley, from plants, animals, fish and people. Communities came together to trade, fish and hold celebrations that were important to their traditions. Oregon City is also the first incorporated city west of the Mississippi River, and the literal End of the Oregon Trail. The Watershed Cafe & Bistro is a tie back to the roots of the land, the people, and the symbiotic relationship to the water. This is a place for nourishment, creativity, restoration and celebration.
