Job Description

Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for various meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards.

  • Ensure the proper presentation of meals for different meal periods.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.

  • Adhere to food safety regulations and procedures.

  • Assist in the preparation of special and catered events.

Essential Skills

  • 1 year of food service experience.

  • Proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Over one year of cooking experience is preferred.

  • Experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage.

Work Environment

The position requires flexibility with start times at 5, 6, 7, or 8 am, generally working 5 to 8-hour shifts totaling 24 hours per week. The role includes working every other weekend. The work environment is a cafeteria in a large hospital, which may involve both customer-facing and kitchen duties.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.79 - $18.79/hr.
