Crew Member - Cook/Prep

Under the direction of the Food Court Manager, Crew Members are responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences across multiple venue locations. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment while providing friendly, efficient service and maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.

Essential Duties
  • Prepare, cook, and assemble food items according to location-specific recipes and quality standards.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and Active Cashier (Mobile Orders) platform to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with a high level of precision and accountability.
  • Deliver friendly, inclusive, and professional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors.
  • Set up, stock, and break down workstations at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Cook menu items using approved techniques, equipment, and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace by completing routine cleaning and sanitation tasks.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations in food preparation and service areas.
  • Follow established safety procedures when operating kitchen equipment to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Perform additional kitchen or service duties as assigned by the Food Court Manager or Supervisor.
  • Complete all required CSU and ASC trainings within designated timeframes.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Must be available for morning and daytime shifts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Respect for others, good work ethic and have a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure and produce high volume and quick service.
  • Must be customer oriented with good communication and organizational skills.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES:

  • Food Handler Certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Typical work activities involve frequent and prolonged periods of standing, walking extended distances, bending, stooping, kneeling or squatting while performing duties. Requires physical work, lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 40 pounds.
