QUALIFICATIONS
1.High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2.Experience in large-scale food preparation (preferred).
3.Basic understanding of nutrition, food safety, sanitation, and applicable state and federal guidelines.
4.Ability to prepare food in large quantities while maintaining high quality.
5.Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and maneuver equipment in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
6.Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (training provided if needed).
7.Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills.
8.Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities.
9.Enjoys working with students and staff.
10.Maintains confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

JOB SUMMARY
Join our culinary team to help prepare and serve meals that fuel students' minds and bodies. As an Assistant Cook, you'll help create a welcoming dining experience while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in preparing nutritious, tasty meals on schedule following state and federal guidelines.
Maintain a sparkling clean kitchen and cafeteria.
Store and handle food properly to ensure safety and quality.
Help serve meals with a smile and keep serving lines stocked.
Collaborate in planning and adjusting meal quantities to meet students' needs.
Support in receiving deliveries and maintaining accurate records.
ASSISTANT COOK

Contribute to daily cleanup efforts, ensuring the kitchen is ready for the next day.
Be a positive ambassador of the district, fostering friendly interactions with students and staff.
EVALUATION
Your contributions will be reviewed annually to ensure continued growth and excellence, guided by our district's policies and commitment to professional development.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This position shall be considered in all respects employment at will.
