Job Summary


This faculty member teaches Associate in Science courses in Culinary Arts at the Miami Culinary Institute. Provides evaluation, grading and mentoring of students in an engaging and positive learning environment.  This is a full-time Faculty (FAC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustees.



Minimum Requirements


  • Master’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Business Administration, or Restaurant Management and at least two years of relevant industry experience in Culinary Arts or Hospitality; or Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in any of the previously listed fields and at least two years of relevant industry experience in Culinary Arts or Hospitality
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Familiarity with and use of collaborative learning techniques and student-centered methods of instruction
  • Possess excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills
