Cook - Full-Time - Work Tuesday-Saturday

Position available now! Starting as soon as possible. Workdays are Tuesday through Saturday!

Creative Dining Services at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN is looking for a full-time Cook. The Cook works within the Dining Services department to ensure that high quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided throughout the operation, in a fiscally responsible and safe manner. Works cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services team, assisting with any aspect of the dining services program necessary.

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus in a manner that preserves food freshness, quality and appeal
• Utilize safe food handling & storage techniques at all times
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area
• Support other kitchen employees in assuring that the essential functions of the kitchen are performed adequately and appropriately
• Removal of refuse as needed
• Putting away/Pulling stock as needed

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Minimum of 2 years cooking experience
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• ServSafe Certification
