As a Cook at RiverMead, you will create a welcoming casual dining experience for residents, staff, visitors, and their guests. Your role involves preparing food in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring high-quality service within established policies and procedures. This includes food preparation, alongside skillfully crafted accompaniments and garnishes. **Responsibilities**
On a given day you will
1.Prepare and serve a diverse menu including hot and cold entrees, soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts across various dining venues, including but not limited to the Pub, Health Center, Bistro, and Main Kitchens.
2.Create an enjoyable dining experience through meticulous food merchandising, preparation, presentation, and service.
3.Ensure beverages are prepared for self-service and maintain cleanliness of service areas.
4.Clean and organize work areas, including kitchen equipment and dining areas, adhering to sanitation guidelines.
5.Monitor and record temperatures of coolers daily to maintain food safety standards.
6.Bus tables, wash dishes, and maintain cleanliness of dining areas throughout shifts.
7.Stock dining areas and reset tables with linens as needed.
8.Manage trash disposal and perform regular sweeping and mopping of dining floors.
9.Coordinate with kitchen and executive chefs to ensure timely food preparation and adherence to quality standards.
10.Perform other duties needed to help drive our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organizations Values.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of one year of professional cooking experience is required.
- Prior server training and/or food service experience preferred.
- Serve Safe certification preferred.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must possess the ability to work in a team environment.
- Self-directed and dependable.
- A team player with a positive attitude.
