*The Hilton North Scottsdale at Cavasson is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Restaurant/Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both restaurant and banquet cooking, demonstrating a passion for food quality and presentation. The Lead Cook will supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and served in a timely manner for both restaurants and catered events.

**Key Responsibilities: **

- Lead and coordinate the kitchen staff in daily food preparation and cooking, ensuring high-quality standards are consistently met. - Oversee the preparation and execution of menu items for restaurant service and banquet functions, adhering to recipes and presentation standards. - Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and update menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques. - Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain a positive and efficient work environment, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. - Monitor inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies, assisting with ordering and inventory management as needed. - Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and operational, reporting any maintenance issues to management. - Assist in managing food costs and minimizing waste through careful preparation and portion control. - Support the team during busy service periods, stepping in to assist with cooking, plating, and presentation as needed. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. - Act as a liaison between the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.

**Qualifications: **

- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or relevant certification preferred. - Minimum of 3-5 years of cooking experience in a restaurant and/or banquet setting, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role. - Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to lead and inspire a team. - Proficient in food safety and sanitation practices. - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. - Knowledge of inventory management and cost control practices is a plus.
