Schedule: Full Time
Shift : Weekdays 6:30am - 3:00 pm and Weekends 7:00am - 3:00pm

The role you'll contribute:
Under the direction of the Production/Retail Services Supervisor of Nutrition Services, cooks and prepares grill items for customers in Caf Metro, makes garnishes for patient trayline and Caf Metro, prepares foods and assists with special functions, and performs cashier duties as assigned. To this end, this position:
*Demonstrates skills of recognized cooking methods,
*Ensures compliance to department standards as aligned with state, federal, and regulatory safety and sanitation standards,
*Demonstrates knowledge of standardized recipes and rationale for adherence to these, and
*Serves as Caf Metro cashier, as assigned, completing all tasks associated with this function, including but not limited to:
*Stocking of condiments, napkins, flatware, etc.,
*Providing efficient, effective service to all customers in a friendly compassionate manner,
*Possessing knowledge of POS system, and
*Maintaining a neat and organized appearance of Caf Metro throughout hours of operation.

Understands and adheres to department polices and guidelines to affect compliance to state, federal, and regulatory standards, including, but not limited to:
HACCP Program,
Sanitation and Safety Inspections, and
Temperature Logs.
Actively participates in the daily production of all food, as assigned.
Prepares all foods according to the Nutrition Services Departments standardized recipes. Consistently produces high quality food for all assigned areas.
Serves on patient trayline, Caf Metro trayline, and in catering, as assigned.
Assists in menu planning for patient and retail areas. Offers new menu suggestions.
Maintains work area in clean, neat, and organized manner.
Performs cleaning on assigned equipment at the regularly scheduled intervals.
Ensures that all assignments are completed within established timelines and standards.
Attends department and section meetings and/or in-services regularly.
Interacts with departmental employees, organizational staff, physicians, patients, and families as appropriate. Practices customer service skills consistently and with genuine conviction.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- 2 year of related work experience
Preferred qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
