Position Summary: The Line Cook position is responsible, in accordance with policies and procedures that are established, for preparation for three daily meals. The Line Cook is responsible for sanitary handling and preparation of food, using standardized recipes, meeting daily meal schedules, serving required portions, utilizing leftovers, and caring for and cleaning equipment. The Line Cook position reports to the Executive Chef.
- Collaborates with culinary team to prepare dishes utilizing different cooking techniques as per standardized recipes.
- Maintains a clean and organized area throughout the shift.
- Adheres to sanitation and safety procedures.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor to execute test recipes.
Education and/or Experience: One year certificate from college or technical school; or one-year related experience and/or training as Cook in a hotel, restaurant, club, health care facility or similar institution; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Uses professional communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with culinary team members.
- Organization and time-management skills.
- Must have reliable transportation to work and be punctual.
- Positive attitude and teamwork.
