Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine to create and execute the restaurant mission and culinary vision.

Manage the kitchen's day-to-day operations by overseeing food preparation and maintaining a hands-on presence on the line during service.

Order and receive the finest quality goods and supplies to ensure proper inventory levels.

Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.

Train and mentor the kitchen team, fostering a positive and professional work environment.

Involvement in creation, tasting, and critique of new menu items.

Coordinate with our wait staff to ensure proper preparation, considering special requests and food allergies.

Comply with safety guidelines and standards; detect and identify safety issues.

Minimum Qualification

Previous experience working in a high-volume kitchen is required.

Must be able tomunicate effectively with coworkers.

Mastery of all basic cooking processes (sauteing, frying, baking, roasting, etc.).

Proficient in knife skills and fabrication of meat, fish, and poultry.

Possess a passion for teaching and ability to help others develop skills.

Knowledgeable of produce and product seasonality, sustainability, and farming practice.

Ability to work both quickly and accurately.

Ability to set high standards for oneself and inspires their team to reach for the same.

Availability to work nights and weekends.

Comprehension of basic Spanish.

Ability to lift and carry trays, dishes, equipment, and goods up to 50 lbs. Stock inventory and perform restocking duties.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to bend and reach to access various areas and items.

Thrives in a fast paced, high pressure environment.

Keep a neat andanized workspace, including proper storage of supplies and cleaning of surfaces.

Move quickly and efficiently to respond to customer needs.

Comfortable working in close proximity to coworkers in a crowded kitchen or serving area.

Maintain a professional and hygienic appearance, including proper uniform and personal grooming.
