Job DetailsNobu Restaurant Group is seeking a Pastry Cook to assist with the preparation and execution of our world-class desserts. The Pastry Cook will play a role in maintaining Nobus high culinary standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce desserts for service and/or special events, following recipes, methods and yield guides as established by Executive Pastry Chef.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Consult with Pastry Department Head to review daily assignments, anticipated business levels, changes and other information pertinent to the job performance.
- Plate desserts and complete pastry production with highest standards of presentation, and to specified requirements.
- Work with the team to establish priority items for the day and inform the Pastry Department Head of any supplies that need to be requisitioned for the day's tasks.
- Inform the Pastry Department Head of any shortages before the item runs out.
- Review status of work and follow-up actions required with the Pastry Department Head as needed.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years experience as a Pastry Cook in a high-volume, upscale restaurant environment.
- Experience with pastry service and production a plus.

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Able to use motion that involves pushing, pulling, stretching and continuous bilateral movement and use of the fingers and wrists for up to 8 hours (excluding meals and breaks).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Compensation: Hourly ($19.00 - $23.00)
