Key Responsibilities:
Teaching Duties:
- Support multiple classrooms as needed, implementing age-appropriate activities using our proprietary Wonder of Learning curriculum
- Assist with classroom management and maintain a safe, nurturing environment
- Provide coverage during teacher breaks, planning time, and absences
- Support children during indoor and outdoor activities while upholding health and safety standards
- Assist with behavior guidance using positive strategies to support social-emotional growth
- Communicate effectively with lead teachers and families as needed
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks following USDA guidelines and state regulations
- Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen environment following food safety protocols
- Plan and prepare age-appropriate meals that accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies
- Maintain accurate food service records and documentation
- Collaborate with teachers on nutrition education activities
- Ensure proper food storage and inventory management

- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or Culinary Arts preferred
- Food Handler's Certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
- 1-2 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare setting preferred
- Experience in food service or meal preparation preferred
- Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
- Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, families and faculty members
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with handling of children and kitchen duties
