Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership team. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and driven by a passion for exceptional food and continuous improvement. This role offers an opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team and contribute to a progressive, high-caliber culinary program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations

  • Maintain high standards of food quality, preparation, and presentation

  • Support and lead a team of cooks with clear, consistent communication

  • Uphold kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and organizational systems

  • Participate in menu development and seasonal planning

  • Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence

  • Maintain inventory and assist with ordering and cost controls

  • Lead by example with professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a professional kitchen; prior leadership experience preferred

  • Strong foundation in classic and contemporary French cooking techniques

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Clear communicator with the ability to lead calmly and effectively under pressure

  • Passion for food, hospitality, and continual learning

  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
