Job Summary:
The Entry Cook Employee Dining Room is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold food items for resort employees, maintaining sanitation standards, and supporting the back-of-house kitchen team. This position is ideal for individuals beginning their culinary career and offers opportunities to develop core skills in a fast-paced, supportive kitchen environment.

Onsite: Black Desert Resort Employee Dining Room Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-Time Pay Range: $17 $18/hour. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

- Prepare basic food items (grilled meats, sandwiches, salads, soups, etc.) according to daily menus and recipes.
- Stock and maintain cold and hot food stations, replenishing as needed throughout service hours.
- Ensure correct food temperatures and proper handling of all food items to meet health and safety standards.
- Clean workstations, kitchen equipment, and food prep areas regularly to maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen.
- Receive and properly store inventory, rotating products and checking for freshness.
- Assist in setup and breakdown of food service stations, buffet lines, and grab-and-go areas.
- Respond to employee dietary needs or special requests with professionalism and flexibility.
- Follow kitchen policies, food handling procedures, and portion control guidelines.
- Support the broader culinary team with prep work and cross-departmental kitchen assistance as needed.

- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous kitchen or food service experience a plus but not required.
- Basic understanding of food safety and kitchen sanitation standards.
- Strong work ethic and a desire to learn culinary fundamentals.
- Ability to work in a team environment with a positive and professional attitude.
- Able to take direction and multitask during busy service periods.
- Must obtain Food Handler Certification within 30 days of employment.
