We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our team and support our Executive Chef/Sous Chef in creating a top-notch culinary destination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef/Sous Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, and presentation.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff activities, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage food costs to ensure budgetary compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new menu items.
- Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring kitchen staff.
- Step into the role of Executive Chef in their absence, maintaining the highest standards of food quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-end restaurant.
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to develop and execute innovative and delicious menu items.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and inventory management.
- Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
