Fairbanks is an exciting new dining concept open in Lewiston, NY. We are dedicated to delivering an exceptional culinary experience, combining innovative dishes with impeccable service. We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our team and support our Executive Chef/Sous Chef in creating a top-notch culinary destination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef/Sous Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff activities, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage food costs to ensure budgetary compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new menu items.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring kitchen staff.
  • Step into the role of Executive Chef in their absence, maintaining the highest standards of food quality and consistency.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-end restaurant.
  • Strong culinary skills with the ability to develop and execute innovative and delicious menu items.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with kitchen operations and inventory management.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($65,000.00 - $85,000.00)
