Are you a passionate and skilled Line Cook ready to bring your talents to one of Wilton Manors' most vibrant and authentic Mexican restaurants? La Mexicana Taco Bar is not just growing; we are actively expanding into opening multiple new locations over the next 6-12 months! We're looking for dedicated individuals eager to grow with us, including those interested in kitchen management and beyond!
At La Mexicana, we pride ourselves on crafting delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine in a lively "amigos and familia" atmosp. We're not just serving food; we're creating unettable experiences and building strongmunity connections. We also operate a thriving cateringpany, serving corporations and private events!
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to La Mexicana's recipes and quality standards.
Work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment during high-volume periods.
Ensure all food is prepared safely, hygienically, and presented beautifully.
Manage assigned station, including stocking, preparation, and cleaning.
Maintain a clean andanized work area, adhering to all food safety regulations.
Assist with inventory management and proper storage of ingredients.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team.
Adapt to new recipes and menu changes as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Line Cook, preferably in a high-volume restaurant. Experience with Mexican cuisine is a plus!
Fluency in Spanish is essential for effectivemunication within our kitchen.
Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellentmunication and teamwork skills.
Understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures.
Must be reliable, punctual, and have a positive attitude.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
