Job Overview

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily activities to ensure efficient operations.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene practices in accordance with health regulations.
Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality expectations.
Collaborate with catering teams for special events or functions as needed.
Monitor kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to management.
Skills

Strong knowledge of food handling, safety, and management practices.
Proficiency in food preparation techniques and fine dining service standards.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
Experience in catering services is a plus.
Familiarity with inventory control processes within a kitchen setting.
