Primary duties and responsibilities:

  1. Help the taqueria leader prepare authentic Mexican dishes and any other necessary task.

  2. Keep the line presentable, fresh, well decorated and full.

  3. Prepare the sauces, place in the salsa bar and prepare the fresh waters.

  4. Prepare fruit cocktails and corn tortillas made by hand.

  5. Elaborate the preparation prior to production.

  6. Provide excellent customer service.

  7. Implement the guidelines established by the Health Service to clean and sanitize.

  8. Clean, give rotation to the products and organize the refrigerator.

  9. Ensure that all condiments and cutlery are available to the client.

10.Constantly cleaning the taqueria tables' area.

11.Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

12.PERFORM ANY OTHER TASK ASSIGNED BY THE STORE MANAGER.

Knowledge, abilities, skills and other personal characteristics:

  1. Ability to prepare authentic Mexican dishes.

  2. Positive attitude and teamwork.

  3. Ability to work in a clean and organized manner.

  4. Ability to follow instructions and multitasking.

  5. Customer service.

  6. Initiative to learn the process of preparing authentic Mexican dishes. (desirable)

  7. Ability to communicate in Spanish and English fluently.

  8. Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).

  9. Visual, manual coordination and hand skills for precision tasks.

10.Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. 1 year experience in the area of taqueria, restaurant or kitchen.

  2. Ability to read at the eighth grade level.

  3. Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).

  4. Knowledge of the weight and volume measurements.

  5. Ability to follow instructions and multitasking.

  6. Manual skills.

  7. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Desirable Requirements:

  1. Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish and English.

  2. High school graduation or GED.

  3. Health certification for food handling.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Lift a minimum of 30 pounds.

  2. Ability to stand for long periods of time.

  3. Ability to flex, kneel, bend and stoop.

  4. Ability to work at different temperatures (hot and cold).

  5. Ability to do repetitive movements.
