Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation. Duties: - Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations - Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards - Collaborate with the culinary team in menu planning and development - Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed at all times - Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed - Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area - Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as necessary - Adhere to all health and safety regulations Requirements: - Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in the food industry - Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, menu planning, and kitchen management - Excellent leadership and communication skills - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional dishes - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Skills: - Bartending: Knowledge of various drink recipes and ability to prepare cocktails. - Food handling: Understanding of proper food safety practices and ability to handle food safely. - Leadership: Ability to lead a team of kitchen staff effectively. - Culinary: Proficiency in cooking techniques, recipe execution, and flavor combinations. - Menu planning: Experience in developing menus that meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions. - Kitchen management: Knowledge of kitchen operations, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and sanitation practices. - Food service: Understanding of customer service principles in a food service setting.
