Overview

Cambria Downtown Austin is seeking a passionate, driven, and highly skilled Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate the dining experience across our hotel’s food and beverage operations. This is a leadership role for a seasoned chef with a creative vision, strong organizational skills, and a hands-on approach to kitchen management.

The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, including menu development, cost control, inventory management, food quality, banquet and catering execution, and team development. This role requires a strong commitment to professionalism, cleanliness, and teamwork, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

· Minimum 3 years of culinary leadership experience, preferably in a hotel, upscale restaurant, or multi-outlet operation.

· Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

· Strong knowledge of food safety standards, inventory control, food cost management, and labor forecasting.

· Hands-on experience with menu planning, recipe development, and large-scale banquet/catering operations.

· Demonstrated success executing events ranging from small private gatherings to high-volume banquets, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.

· Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment at all times.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with the front-of-house team, hotel management, and vendors.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently deliver high-quality results.

· Culinary degree or equivalent professional training strongly preferred.

· Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
