BASIC FUNCTION :
Prepares food or assists in food preparation in sufficient quantities to cover all service requirements, while following standardization of recipes and portion control, preventing waste, and assuring high quality products. Works variety of tray line service positions. Serves as personal hostess to patients and provides positive patient interactions. Maintains high standards of sanitation cleanliness and neatness in all assigned areas.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE :
High school graduate or equivalent. Must be minimum 18 years of age. Ability to read, write, speak and follow written and oral instructions. Formal or on the job training in cooking, estimating quantities of food needed, and on the principles and requirements of sanitation and safety of handling food and equipment required.
Must be computer-literate to complete task(s) as required. Such as Medi Tech (Hospital Support Software), Halogen (performance appraisal system) Relias (education system), ability to retrieve e-mails, complete online enrollment for health insurance/benefits and any other programs as assigned
