The Part-Time Sous Chef will play a critical role in supporting the culinary team, ensuring the preparation, quality, and presentation of meals to meet our high standards. This position involves assisting in menu development, food preparation, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. The ideal candidate is a creative and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus tailored to client requirements.
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to execute meals for special events, orders, or bulk distributions.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering and receiving supplies.
- Ensure all kitchen operations comply with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Train and guide kitchen staff as needed to maintain smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace.
- Assist in developing new recipes and ideas to enhance offerings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Compensation
$20-22/Hr Based on experience
Required Qualifications
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Experience: 1 - 3 Years; Foodservice experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
Certification in culinary arts or a related field is preferred but not required
