Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate Cook to join our kitchen staff team at Nick's Famous Roast Beef. Nick's is a beloved quick-serve restaurant serving roast beef sandwiches, fried side dishes such as french fries & onion rings, and Greek salads. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn how to prepare the beef, operate the fryer & flat-top grill, and make sandwiches to order. As a Cook, you will be responsible for prepping ingredients and preparing food items while adhering to safety and sanitation standards. Pay ranges from $20-$23/hour based on experience + tips (typically an additional $3-$4 per hour).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook according to established recipes.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives, slicers, fryers, and other cooking tools.
• Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in foodservice is a plus but not required.
• Strong knowledge of food handling and safety regulations within the food industry or the willingness to learn these standards.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $23.00) plus tips
