Sodexo Government Services is honored to support of the United States Air Force, and we are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Chef 2 to lead our culinary team at Randolph Air Force Base. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact the lives of our dedicated airmen, their families, and base civilians by overseeing the culinary operations within our on-base dining facility. As the Executive Chef 2 , you will be the key driver in leading a team of subcontractor cooks, crafting and delivering a diverse array of fresh and creative culinary offerings. This role provides an exceptional chance to showcase your culinary expertise and leadership skills in a supportive and rewarding environment.

Your responsibilities will encompass directing all kitchen operations, ensuring seamless execution, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality. You will be instrumental in menu planning, implementing innovative culinary concepts, and training your team to excel. Maintaining rigorous food and physical safety standards, as well as managing cost controls, will be crucial to your success. Building strong relationships with clients and customers, ensuring their satisfaction, will also be a top priority. What You'll Do
  • manage the daily food production including production planning and controls;
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality;
  • manage food costing, controls and compliance;
  • have high expectations for customer service and quality of food;
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and train Airmen;

What You Bring
  • a strong culinary background and Culinary Degree or Certification with demonstrated ability to lead a culinary staff
  • excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implements company policies
  • previous experience working in a high-volume facility
  • strong management and relationship-building skills
  • a focus on food safety/sanitation and physical safety (ServSafe certification is required)

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
