The Coastal Gourmet Group has been delighting customers for nearly three decades with their contemporary American cuisine created from the highest quality, freshest, sustainable ingredients and methods.
Established in 1993, The Coastal Gourmet Group now owns and operates five gourmet Mystic Markets across Connecticut. A staple in the community they reside; they offer a large variety of sandwiches/paninis, soup, salads as well as an extensive variety of gourmet to go prepared meals. With an in-house bakery, we boast a broad range of fresh pastries and desserts.
Through the continued success of our Mystic Market locations, we expanded to add the addition of Coastal Gourmet Catering. With a full liquor license, the catering division has since built a reputation for creative presentation, culinary excellence and, above all, quality customer service.
As the Market and Catering business flourished, The Coastal Gourmet Group opened two new restaurants. Opened in 2007, and awarded “Best New Restaurant” the following year, Aspen Restaurant and Bar in Old Saybrook offers contemporary American cuisine using sustainable ingredients and methods through the Farm to Chef Program, which connects Connecticut chefs with natural CT Grown products.
In 2010, The Coastal Gourmet group was awarded the food service contract for Mystic Seaport, which involved re-launching a community institution into a significantly new concept specializing in New American cuisine— Latitude 41 Restaurant & Tavern.
