We are seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide/Cook to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation, food service, and kitchen operations while helping provide residents with nutritious, high-quality meals in a safe and welcoming environment. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and facility standards.
- Assist with food preparation, portioning, plating, and kitchen organization.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Follow food safety procedures and comply with health and sanitation regulations.
- Support residents with meal service while providing friendly and compassionate customer service.
- Work collaboratively with dietary staff and healthcare teams to ensure residents nutritional needs are met.
- Monitor food inventory and assist with stocking and storage of supplies.
- Observe and report any dietary concerns or resident meal-related issues to supervisors promptly.
Experience:
- Previous cooking, food service, or dietary aide experience is a plus, but not required.
- Passion for cooking good food and creating a positive dining experience for residents.
- Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and special diet instructions.
- Willingness to maintain cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen organization.
- Friendly, dependable, and able to work well with residents and team members in a fast-paced environment.
