Executive Chef - Filipino Cuisine (Akron, USA) We are seeking a talented Executive Chef with a passion for Filipino cuisine to join our team in Akron. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our restaurant's kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, ordering and inventory management, and staff training and development. This position requires a high level of creativity, leadership skills, and knowledge of traditional Filipino dishes and techniques. Responsibilities: - Develop and update menus based on seasonal availability of ingredients and customer preferences - Create new dishes and modify existing ones to ensure a unique dining experience for our guests - Manage food costs by monitoring inventory levels and implementing cost-saving measures - Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation according to recipes and standards - Collaborate with the restaurant manager to maintain smooth operations in the kitchen - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment following all food safety regulations Requirements: - Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a Filipino restaurant or similar establishment - Strong knowledge of Filipino cuisine including ingredients, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles - Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards - Creativity in developing new dishes while also maintaining traditional favorites on the menu - Understanding of food costs and inventory management practices - Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (Tagalog is a plus) - Valid work permit or US citizenship/residency preferred Salary: 1400$ USD per month (depending on experience) If you are passionate about Filipino cuisine and possess the necessary skills and experience, we would love to hear from you!
