Jefferson & Co. is seeking motivated, dependable, and hardworking culinary professionals to join our kitchen team. We are an upscale casual restaurant with a capacity of over 200 guests, focused on delivering exceptional hospitality, thoughtfully prepared food, and memorable dining experiences.

Positions Available:

Full-Time Line Cook
Full-Time Prep Cook
Part-Time Prep Cook

Schedule Requirements

Full-Time Positions
Weekend availability is mandatory
Must be available to work evenings, holidays, and peak business periods
Typical schedule includes a combination of prep, service, and closing shifts

Part-Time Prep Cook
Flexible weekday scheduling available
Friday and Saturday availability is mandatory
Ideal for culinary students or individuals seeking supplemental income

Responsibilities

Line Cook Responsibilities
Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes and standards
Work assigned stations during service while maintaining speed, accuracy, and consistency
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations throughout service
Assist with inventory rotation and proper product storage
Communicate effectively with chefs and fellow team members during service
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Assist with opening and closing procedures

Prep Cook Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and components for daily service
Portion proteins, prepare sauces, dressings, stocks, and other menu items
Maintain organization of walk-ins, dry storage, and prep areas
Ensure all prep is completed accurately and efficiently
Follow recipes and preparation procedures as directed by the Executive Chef
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
Support line cooks and chefs as needed

Qualifications
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Prior kitchen experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate
Culinary school students and aspiring chefs are encouraged to apply
