Job DetailsVia Veneto Pizzarium is looking for a Manager to be part of the opening team and lead the restaurant team.
Via Veneto Pizzarium (VVP) is a new quick-service restaurant offering Pizza al Taglio, scheduled to open February 26, 2026, located at 511 East 900 South, across the street from Liberty Park.
Pizza al Taglio is a traditional Italian, semi-thick, light, and crispy crust pizza baked in large, rectangular pans, sold in slices by weight. Pizza al Taglio originates in Rome, where its a popular street food. The name, al Taglio, translates to by the cut, which refers to the way the pizza is sold. Pizzas are topped all the way to the edge, served with a huge variety of cheeses and toppings added before and after baking. Only the highest quality ingredients are used for these unique and flavorful pizzas, specifically 00 Italian flour, which makes it possible for even those with gluten intolerance to indulge.
Via Veneto Pizzarium slices are typically large and rectangular; each slice can weigh around 1 pound or more, depending on toppings. The perfectly crisp crust and fresh, interesting toppings set this pizza apart as a must-visit for pizza enthusiasts. The casual atmosphere and diverse menu options cater to a wide range of preferences. The slices are cut from a whole pizza that is about 1.5 X 2. Customers choose from a variety of pizza topping combinations. Slices are often served in generous portions, making them filling. The unique style allows for a variety of crust thicknesses and textures. Who you are:
The Manager has experience with leading and managing a high-end quick-service restaurant, and is responsible for the overall guest experience, as well as the cleanliness and organization of all restaurant spaces. The Manager should be a passionate leader, self-motivated to teach, oversee, and inspire the team, and collaborate and communicate well with ownership and the back-of-house team.

- Regulatory compliance: you adhere to cleanliness, health, and safety protocols, including knowledge of applicable fire, health, and safety codes (possess a Food Handlers Certificate or ServSafe Certification).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a quick-service restaurant, or equivalent knowledge and experience with high-end hospitality and leadership.
What youll do:
- The Manager is responsible for overall FOH operations, management, and execution of all FOH operations for the restaurant, events, and catering. Includes: daily presentation of all menu items, consistent quality checks, preparing daily orders, and exceeding the guest's expectations.
- Assist in the development, testing, standardization, training, and implementation of processes and procedures.
- Work closely with owners and the back-of-house team to ensure seamless execution of service.
- Take orders, serve food to guests, manage to-go orders, catering, and provide excellent customer service.
- Operate Toast POS System
- Communicate guest feedback to owners.
- Respond to guest phone calls/texts/emails in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain clean & organized equipment, tools, physical workspace, and all spaces throughout restaurant interior & exterior
- Perform all other job-related duties.

- Excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and promote teamwork and efficient excellence in overseeing station turnover and end-of-shift breakdown.
- Be meticulously clean, organized, and aware of all food safety standards, maintaining organization and cleanliness of all service areas, guest areas, storage, fridges; complying with all health department standards and practices, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment at all times.
- Attend certain outside events and programs
- Attention to detail and multitasking
- Required shifts involve working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication skills
- This position requires manual dexterity and the ability to follow oral/written instructions and procedures. To successfully perform duties, you must be able to safely lift > 50 pounds, walk up and down stairs, and walk and stand for long periods.
- English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required
