Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Fill the display case and make the necessary separations of the different products (dairy, seafood, chicken and meat).

  2. Prepare marinades.

  3. Make chicharron, barbacoa y carnitas.

Make different cuts of meat (Mexico / U.S.).

  1. Manage inventory.

  2. Manage temperatures.

  3. Apply health standards.

  4. Clean the meat market area in general, including freezers.

  5. Optimize sales.

  6. Keep the freezer clean and organized.

  7. Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

  8. Keep work area clean, orderly and free from safety hazards.

  9. Report faulty equipment and hazards to management.

  10. PERFORM ANY OTHER TASK ASSIGNED BY THE STORE MANAGER.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. 2 years of experience as a meat cutter.

  2. Ability to read at an eighth-grade level.

  3. Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).

  4. Knowledge of the weight measurements.

  5. Ability to use the scales.

  6. Knowledge of Mexican meat cuts.

  7. Knowledge of carnitas, barbacoa y chicharron.

  8. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
