And we believe the best kitchens run on respect, not fear.The RoleWe're looking for a Chef de Cuisine to run our BOH operations and help us keep raising the bar. You'll work closely with Christine Ha to protect the integrity of the menu, contribute creative ideas for new dishes, limited-time specials, and exclusive tasting events, and lead a team of 13 with both precision and care.This is a senior leadership position. You won't just be managing a line you'll be helping shape the direction of the kitchen, and thus, The Blind Goat.Key ResponsibilitiesCulinary & OperationsUphold and execute The Blind Goat's standards for food quality, consistency, and creativityCollaborate with Christine on menu development and seasonal specialsManage and report on COGS, recipe costing, labor, and inventory with real attention to detailMaintain an organized, proactive kitchen environment plan ahead, not behindComfortable in Google Sheets for costing, Homebase for scheduling, and trackingLeadership & CultureLead, mentor, and genuinely care for a great BOH team of 13 (yes, including the dishwashers EVERYONE matters)Model what a bustling yet calm" kitchen actually looks like in practiceCommunicate clearly and professionally up and down the chainThink beyond today's service operate as a senior leader who sees the bigger pictureWhat We're Looking ForExecutive Sous Chef experience or higherSolid knowledge of Vietnamese and broader Asian cuisines and ingredientsStrong professionalism in appearance, attitude, communication, and people managementConversational Spanish is a plusA proactive, problem-solving, detail-obsessed mindsetAnd most importantly: you have to actually be a kind person.
