Cook

The Oaks of Louisiana is looking for a Grill Cook. The Grill Cook will prepare and cook to order a variety of foods that require only a short preparation time. May take orders from customers and serve patrons at counters or dining tables. The Grill Cook will prepare a variety of menu items for the serving line as well.

Prepare to order food items, following standard recipes and procedures.

• Grill, deep-fry, bake, broil, and garnish foods such as hamburgers, sandwiches, french fries, chicken strips.
• Take orders from customers and cook foods requiring short preparation times, according to customer requests
• Complete orders from steam tables, placing food on plates and serving customers at counters or tables
• Prep assigned items
• Prepare beverage specialties, following standard recipes
• Maintain the cooking line in a clean, sanitary and safe manner.
• Stock/restock items online according to menu needs

Other duties as assigned by management experience or skills

• Knowledge of the proper techniques for food preparation
• Possession of good communication skills
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
• High school education
