COOK Niagara Parks is currently recruiting for Cooks to join our Culinary Services team for the 2025 season.

This position compensates at an hourly rate of $19.38/hr for Seasonal Bargaining Unit and Part-Time employees. Students will be compensated in accordance with Ontario Minimum Wage legislation.

QUALIFICATIONS

No formal education required.

No formal experience required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Primarily occupies one (1) kitchen station or area each shift

Washes, prepares and or cooks various food e.g., garnishes, salads, cheese, fruit and meat platters and canapes. Prepares plated desserts for tour groups and banquet patrons.

Set-up, monitor and replenish and tear down Buffets and Stations for events.

Uses all general cooking methods to prepare assigned menu items in accordance with the Menu Knowledge File.

Maintains a clean and sanitary work area by adhering to all sanitation and hygiene procedures, including sweeping, and mopping of the kitchen floor as required.

Ensure proper heating, reheating and storage of food items occurs in accordance with Public Health regulations.

Re-stock various items throughout their shift.

Depending on location may be required to help push Hot Dog and Ice Cream Carts to proper parkway placement.

Works in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act, First Aid, WHMIS, AGCO Regulations, Safe Food Handling Regulations, Recycling Programs and established policies and procedures.

Provides guests with information regarding NPC Attractions and Events.

Promotes a positive image of the Niagara Parks Commission.

Provides quality customer service that meets NPC Standards.
