Job Details Welcome to Petitgrain! Our little bakery in Santa Monica is looking for an additional baker for daytime production of croissants, breads and laminated products. This position is part time from Wednesday to Saturday between 930am and 3:30pm.Qualified candidates must be organized and efficient and exhibit kindness, flexibility and great customer service skills. Our bakery has an open kitchen and a small team. making it important to be able to move from back to front of house and help out where needed during bakeoff and operating hours.
Candidates must have previous experience with lamination, an interest in learning our methods for lamination and incorporation of whole grains and a desire to produce a high quality product with our team. This position requires lifting multiple 50 lbs bags of flour and other ingredients a day, scaling, mixing, lamination, making of preferments, lean and enriched doughs, shaping, and may include baking off, receiving inventory, greeting and helping customers and assisting in the pastry department. Fluency in Spanish is a plus!
