Fringe Bar is a black-owned, woman-owned restaurant in Philadelphia, PA. We are professional, customer-centric, and inclusive. As a LINE COOK, we are looking for cooks who love working in the kitchen, someone who wants to cook delicious food using proper technique and to help uphold the culinary standard at Fringe Bar through their actions every day on the line. Every cook is expected to be Timely & Focused and to show teamwork and reliability every day. At Fringe Bar, we are willing and able to teach and coach while we work, so if you are looking to build skills, this is the place!

LINE COOKS should have at least one year full-service restaurant experience. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to the level of culinary excellence that we are striving to achieve. LINE COOKS come in around 3 pm and work until the last call of the kitchen, which is currently 9 pm on weekdays and 10 pm on weekends, plus cleaning duties. Full-time cooks work 4-5 days/week. Full open availability is essential to receiving a full-time schedule, and right now candidates must be available for SAT and SUN. No exceptions. We are looking for candidates who want to move up, as we will need LEAD LINE COOKS and JUNIOR SOUS CHEFS in the summer, and prefer to promote from within.

The recently renovated bar and restaurant (formerly La Peg) provide an expansive venue for memorable dining and entertainment experiences for the whole family. The menu consists of soulful gastropub cuisine, influenced by Chef Kenneth Bush's cultural and culinary background, and features a plethora of snacks and large plates.
Classic pub fare like Fried Cheese Curds and a juicy double burger are on the menu alongside Lemon Pepper Wings, Catfish Atchafalaya and Puerto Rican Empanadas de Pollo.. Dining experiences are elevated by floor-to-ceiling views of the Delaware River and Benjamin Franklin Bridge in the industrial-chic space sharing a velvet curtained wall with FringeArts renowned 220-seat theater. Fringe Bar boasts a 100-seat outdoor patio, a private mezzanine for parties, as well as a rear biergarten space with its mobile pizzeria, Pumphouse Pizza. Fringe Bar is the perfect venue for a date night out, casual dining and drinking with friends, watching the game with friends, or for booking your next big event. Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($17.00 - $21.00)
