We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team in the role of Cook. This position is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of our dietary department, where you will contribute to meal preparation and service in a fine dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in culinary practices, food safety, and customer service, with a passion for delivering high-quality dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
Assist in menu planning to ensure a diverse and appealing selection for guests.
Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout the kitchen.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Handle food items safely, adhering to all food handling regulations.
Cater events as needed, providing excellent service and attention to detail.
Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation and presentation.
Provide support in the dietary department, assisting with various tasks as required.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and cleaned properly.

Requirements

Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
Strong culinary experience with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
A passion for providing exceptional food service and enhancing Tenant's Dining experiences.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 36 per week
